# Legal Human Workbench: Surfaces and Daily Tasks

> Discover the primary surfaces, tabs, and daily work loop for general counsel, legal ops, and contracts managers inside the Spine Legal workbench.

The Human Workbench is the main surface where legal practitioners manage contracts, matters, policies, and compliance tasks. It assembles context from DocuSign, Ironclad, Google Drive, Salesforce, and Jira into one contextual view so you do not toggle between systems.

## Primary Surfaces

* **Contract Board:** a Kanban view of contracts by stage with owner and deadline.
* **Matter List:** open legal matters with priority, assignee, and next deadline.
* **Compliance Calendar:** upcoming audits, attestations, and regulatory deadlines.
* **Risk Register:** scored risks with mitigation status and owner.

## The Daily Loop

    Open the Contract Queue to see new agreements and matter requests that arrived overnight.

    Sort by deadline and escalation flag. Focus on contracts expiring this week and high-priority matters.

    Redline a contract, assign a matter, or request evidence for an audit. Actions are executed directly in the workbench.

  <Step title="Hand off and continue">
    Route approvals, set reminders, or leave notes for colleagues. Context persists so the next person resumes without repetition.
