# Connected Work: One Journey Across Tools, People, and AI

> Connected work means one continuous journey across every tool, every person, and every AI operator, backed by Spine Fabric and governed by SpineWorkspace.

Connected work is what happens when humans, AI operators, and source systems all move together on the same business goal. Not synced. Not integrated. Connected: sharing context, sharing memory, sharing governance, and staying on one journey from intent to outcome. This is the outcome SpineWorkspace is built to produce.

## What Disconnected Work Looks Like

Before connected work, a single business goal fractures into a dozen threads across a dozen tools. A CS engineer picks up where a CSM left off, but starts from scratch. A support agent escalates to engineering, but the context is lost in the ticket. An AI copilot drafts a reply based on the one tool it can see. Every handoff is a restart.

Connected work removes those restarts.

## How Connected Work Happens

<Steps>
  <Step title="Context is assembled">
    Spine Fabric assembles the entities, events, evidence, and history around the work in front of you.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Humans and Twin align">
    You see the picture and set intent. Twin sees the same picture and prepares proposals and drafts.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Agents coordinate">
    When work spans specialties, Twin routes across the Spine Agent Network. Agents share context; nothing is retyped.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Actions are governed">
    Capabilities execute with authorization, scope, and approval. Every write produces a receipt.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Continuity closes the loop">
    Receipts and decisions become part of business continuity. The next person, agent, or workflow starts richer than the last.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Why Connected Work Requires Both Halves

Connecting only humans creates portals. Connecting only AI creates automation without judgement. Connecting both, on the same governed context, is what turns a stack of tools into a business that moves as one.

<Note>
  Connected work is a consequence of the refined thesis. Shared context plus governed execution plus human authority plus business continuity produces a workspace where the pieces of work stop fragmenting again.
</Note>

## What Changes for Your Team

* Renewals surface with the ticket, the meeting note, and the usage signal already attached.
* Escalations move to engineering with the customer context intact.
* Forecasts are not reconciled after the fact; they reflect the current state.
* Twin drafts, agents coordinate, humans approve, receipts stay.
