Workflows in the HR domain are structured processes that coordinate people, agents, and systems. Each workflow has a trigger, a sequence of steps, defined handoffs, approval gates, and a receipt.

Recruiting Workflow

  • Trigger: JobRequisition is approved and opened.
  • Steps: source candidates, screen resumes, schedule interviews, collect feedback, make hire/no-hire decision, draft offer, obtain approvals, send offer, candidate accepts.
  • Handoffs: Recruiter to Hiring Manager for feedback; Hiring Manager to Compensation for offer approval.
  • Approvals: Offer must be approved by Compensation and HRBP before sending.
  • Receipt: OfferAccepted event is recorded, and Candidate becomes Employee.

Onboarding Workflow

  • Trigger: Candidate accepts offer.
  • Steps: create employee record, assign tasks (IT, finance, manager), track completion, schedule orientation, confirm Day 1 readiness.
  • Handoffs: People Ops to IT for provisioning; People Ops to Manager for welcome tasks.
  • Approvals: Manager confirms task completion before workflow closes.
  • Receipt: OnboardingComplete event is recorded.

Performance Review Workflow

  • Trigger: HRBP launches review cycle.
  • Steps: self review, manager review, peer feedback, calibration, final rating, close cycle.
  • Handoffs: Employee to Manager; Manager to Calibration Lead.
  • Approvals: Calibration Lead signs off on outlier ratings.
  • Receipt: ReviewClosed event is recorded per employee.
